Here are a few pics of our newset baby, Candi. She's about a week old and is soo tiny and cute! I put a pic of her with a quater just to show you how little she actually is. In the second pic you can actually see her little tongue...

Here I am again, slacking on my blogging duties... its once again been a long time since I've been on here! LOL
Since my last blog entry I have since moved. We are living in an apartment in the SLC area. I'm 5 mins from work and the daycare is on the way to work, so that is really nice. I'm also only about 30 mins from the kids grandparents so that makes it easier to see them a bit more often.
So far we have had a busy summer, between working and activities with the kids... We started off the Summer with a day of fishing over the Memorial Day weekend at a fish farm in Kamas, with some close friends. The kids and I had heaps of fun.
We also aquired a couple of new pets... 2 corn snakes named Cracker and Candi. We have had Cracker for a couple of months now and got him to eat for the first time today!! It was awesome watching him eat! We just adopted a new corn snake and we named her Candi. She's only a week old and is tiny!! She ate like she hasnt ever eaten before today also. All in all we're doing well. Had a busy weekend swimming and the kids had a friend stay over. We are all tired and burned after our day of swimming.

Wow!!

I can't believe its been almost a year since I have been on here! crazy! So much has happened in this past year! To start off, I went through a nasty divorce. It took me almost a year to get it finalised but it was official on Oct 28, 2008. Yay! I am doing sooo much better without my ex husband! Looking back my only wish was that I had done it sooner! The kids are adjusting to having to go to two homes but they seem to be dealing with it fairly well.
I am now in school and will actually graduate next week. I have been in school for dental assisting. Once I am done all I have left to do is intern somewhere for 112 hours and then I will be hirable. I am really enjoying it and let me just tell you, scrubs are the most comfy things on this planet! lol
I am really enjoying single life, even though it gets a bit lonely at times. I'm happier and am more able to care for my kids better. While married I battled with depression and at times struggled with looking after the kids. I am no longer depressed and now have a new found zest for life! :) My love and bond with my kids has also been strengthened. I am so looking forward to the new year and to starting a new chapter in life with my children.
The kids are doing really well and are growing like weeds!! Today is Lachlan's 4th birthday and let me just tell you he is ALL boy! He loves everything and anything boyish! He's also a Mama's boy (which I secretly love) but it's killin me that he's growing up so fast! Seems like only yesterday that I brought him home from the hospital :(
Byron has started Kindergarten this year and is really enjoying it. We got lucky and he was put into the all day kindergarten class, which he really does need. He didnt get to go to preschool so he didnt have the preparedness the girls had before starting kindergarten. He is all boy as well. Loves playing in the dirt and gets into everything!! He and Lachlan get along well and sometimes beat the crap outta one another!
Aubrey is growing so much! She loves to read and is doing so well in school. She is actually above her grade level in reading. She also received an award in school for being a "Great Bully Blocker." Aubrey is quite fiesty so I'm not at all surprised that she got that award! I hope she continues to stay that way and not let anyone walk all over her. She is a bit of a tomboy but also has a very strong girlie streak in her! She is really athletic and I can totally see her in sports as she gets older.
Brianna is doing really well in school also! She just recently got accepted into the Talented and Gifted class where two children out of each grade is chosen to go to a special class where they can learn about some more advanced subjects. She is like a sponge! She just soaks up information on things that interest her. She is also a very avid reader and the last book she checked out of the school library was an educational book on horses. She tells me she wants to do well in school and get a scholarship and go to college to become a vet. She's a total softie and loves animals.
I am hoping now that I am almost done with school, I will have more spare time to keep up on my blog and tell you all about the comings and goings in our lives :) I hope you enjoy the pictures... these are a few of our most recent.

WOW

I cannot believe how long it's been since I posted here! The past four months I have been quite busy and stressful. So where do I begin? To start off with, Scott and I are going through a divorce. This is a major part of my stress. And with that comes a lot of adjustments. I have gotten myself a job at the local grocery store, and am really enjoying getting to know some awesome people and have made some great friends. But because of the now full time job I have, I don't have quite as much time for photography, which is quite a bummer.

Brianna and Aubrey are doing well in school. Byron and Lachlan are cute as can be, and Lachlan just keeps talking more and more. They are all growing like weeds. All four kids went to Texas with their father over Thanksgiving and said that they had a great time. They enjoy feeding the horses and riding the tractor at Nana and Papa's place.

I am hoping that things will calm down and be less busy/stressful so that I can get some more posts going on here on my blog :)

Happy New Year!! May the new year bring joy, peace and happiness to you all :)

Poor Lachlan! :(

We haven't had a good week this week. The kids have all been battling a case of the stomach flu and it caused Brianna and Aubrey to miss the first 3 days of school! The boys were also affected by it but Brianna had it worse than anyone. Then today, Lachlan was outside, and I guess (according to Byron) he fell down the back steps and split his head open, which resulted in a trip to the Urgent Care Clinic here in town. Poor Lachlan ended up with 3 stitces smack dab in the middle of his forehead!

Hangin' out having a snack at Raging Waters

Just wanted to catch up with what we've been up to the last couple of weeks. First of all, we went to Raging Waters for the day on July 20th. The kids had a blast and we all got a bit sunburned even after lathering on the sunscreen, twice!!
On the 28th of July we went down to Utah County to hike Timpanogas cave. This was my first time hiking it adn boy it's definately a hike!! The kids did really well and had a lot of fun, although were exhausted by the time we were done! They really enjoyed the tour of the cave as well. Lachlan hiked most of the hike as well, and I was really impressed. Although he was getting quite a few piggyback rides on the way down.
Then this weekend, the Tooele County Fair was in town and so was the demolition derby. We went to both, although the fair wasn't too big, the derby was packed! Our old neighbour was driving one of the cars in the derby and because we loaned him our trailer, he painted my business URL onto the side of his derby car for all to see! It was pretty cool!! Then we sat and watched the fireworks after the derby. It was hot, but we had fun...
